I just watched Into the Wild and saw the part with the nudists in
Oh My God Hot Springs, CA and googled it and there are nudist teens on websites. Why isn't the government doing something about that. With all that to catch a predator stuff. Thats just crazy that it is allowed on websites it's pretty disturbing too. | Teen nudism is not illegal. Nor is nudism by a three year old, or a 90 year old as long as the place the nudism is occurring is a place where it is OK to be nude.
I haven't seen the movie in question. I read the book a number of years ago and don't recall the topic being raised in the book. I am wondering if it was one of those things where artistic license went a bit too far.
Anti-nudists are just sad people who are gravely misinformed about a lifestyle they are completely ignorant of. | HOW TO BE nudism teen age? I am 15 and I wold like to be came a nudism
and how wold i tell my mum and dad | Well, have you tried it yet? I have an answer for both:
If you haven't tried it b4:
Try hanging nude in your room first, when you can, alone. Also, stay naked as long as you can after a shower, but remember to stay in the bathroom. Be naked in there as much as you can before you have to get out. If you are sure you like it after this move onto next:
talk to your parents:
Just ask them both on day how they fell about nudity. wait a while and then pop the question, "i'd like to be a nudist." It will be award at first, but remain on it. (it might help to research benefits of nudism before you talk in case you need them as some supporting reasons.) And if they say no, just start to casually start removing clothes over the next few days following - but not all at once! | I am a teen, and I have thought that nudism is something I would like to try, for non perverted reasons.? Is there any websites I could go to or other teens that are like me to get information from? I live in Houston, Texas. | | Google "naturist." | Teen Nudism In Michigan? Hi, I am a teen nudist girl looking for a good naturist resort in Michigan. I wanted to go to a resort with mostly teenagers... as I am a little nervous about being naked in front of all adults. Are there any teen oriented beaches or resorts around Michigan? | Well, Dan, that's an interesting name for a girl, but I'm sure it's Danielle or something.
Look up AARN on Google. It'll list places around the country that are nudist clubs. There are very few (read: none) nudist places for only teens. The U.S. is losing the teenage population as nudists and for safety reasons adults are generally present. Look up Turtle Lake. That's a place in mid-Michigan that might help.
Good luck! | Pre-teen nudism!??! Is it okay!??!? It's been a secret for . . . So long now. I don't want to hide it, but I have to. Parents can't accept it.
Is it okay for a pre-teen to be nudist?
I'm very artistic and creative, and I like making an art many people don't think of.
Is it okay? | As for the morals of this, I don't think any form of nudity should be taboo. Nudity is not inherently sexual and many cultures in many times it has not been. I believe national geographic somehow manages to have guy nudity legally and it's not considered guy pornography because it's "indigenous nudity".
Also, when I was younger, when I went out swimming in the lake up in the Northeast United States a couple of the young guys were swimming naked and it was no big deal.
I don't think it would be so acceptable now, legal or illegal or not, because like most people here have shown, people are always assuming a guy cannot be unclothed and seen to others or it's a danger of creating paedophiles or attracting them. And would be more likely to be socially reprimanded by peers and prosecuted. It would be nice if were could return to a time when public nudity was not a big deal, but right now, and for several years in society, a woman cannot even show her breasts in public, not much different from a man's, without public moral outrage.
And nudism is not sex in public. That is just stupid. | Is nudism a revolutionary tool, especially to teenagers, that should be embraced? I am just beginning to learn about my sexuality and develop some views and personal morals. One of the things I have just read has pushed me into a belief that nudism truly IS the best way to deal with sexuality within teens, is that, in the Netherlands (a place where there is very little restrictions to drugs and sexuality) teens are 9x less likely to get pregnant than in the US (where the social boundaries are much stricter.) I am thinking this is because teenagers want to see the other side. Why are adults making such a HUGE fuss about this thing called sex? I have also learned other things about sexuality, maturity and phsycology that seem to point to this.
One of these things I read on Wikihow, which suggests that guyren who are not allowed to run naked, or nudity is shunned, are more likely to proceed in sexually negative attitudes. I have also heard from my summer camp councellor, a few years ago, that the teens that go to the boarding school he worked at, where they are basically allowed to do whatever they want, seemed much more grown up and mature than those that are not. I grew up in an environment that was VERY much against nudity, sexuality or even the discussion of teenage life in general (ANYTHING that happens in parties) as a result I ended up INCREDIBLY messed up (to the point I am ashamed to explain the extent of my desires) and I think the ONLY thing that might have saved me from going down the wrong road was my girlfriend of today, who has been through what it is like to grow up in a broken family. I am reading stories about different peoples experiences with sexuality and it seems to me like the majority of them end up messed for TWO different reasons. Either;
1.) Like me, they felt they had NO say when it came to sexuality and their own lives and felt suppressed
2.) Like my gf, they grew up in families where the commitments had been smashed and they were not given ANY guidance on where to take their life.
Basically, the two extremes to each other. This is why I think that nudism might be the best answer. It provides the guy and teen with an environment that is free of any sexual restrictions, but it also gives the parents a chance to mentor their guys through any questions they may have. One of the primary problems, I am finding out, is that many parents hold discussion about sexuality as an absolute taboo. This then means that the guy is unable to express their sexuality and hence lack in an area that needs to be nurtured. On top of all the potential phsycological benefits I see in nudism, I see one FINAL reason nudism should be appraised, how often have you had to sit in a puddle of a soggy swimsuit, potentially full of sand, and the heat clinges it to your body, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. How often have you gotten ABSOLUTELY soaked IN YOUR clothes and then had to spend the rest of the day in a puddle of your own filth, EVEN MORE SO. Nudists NEVER have to worry about this, and are NEVER so uncomfortable! Why, then, don't you just take those wet, uncomfortable clothes off and go bare. Apparently it feels SO much more revitalizing to swim nude as well. Remember those wooly swimsuits from back when they first came out, can you IMAGINE swimming in wool? Get with the times, nudism just makes more sense. I would LOVE to hear what you have to say to this, if you feel that I am missing something, PLEASE SHARE!! I recognize that there may be FAR more knowledgeable individuals out there than me and I would LOVE a second opinion on this. :)
Also, nudists, I am still a little bit old fashioned and I have A COUPLE of major issues with nudism.
1.) I feel turned on by nudity, what steps can I do to stop being such a pervert and just enjoy the social unity with nature and each other. How would you feel towards a person that is just becoming a nudist if they started to oggle you, completely unintentionally but just because of their messed up mentality.
2.) Does anyone feel that social nudity has deprived them from intimacy in a relationship? Do you feel jealous if you notice your spouse getting turned on by another person? | Nudism as a tool? I've not thought of it like that before, but yes, why not? What you have deduced about the effects of Nudism is absolutely right. Just one point where I disagree: It does not "provide the guy and teen with an environment that is free of any sexual restrictions". All the same restrictions that you would expect in textile society still apply; the difference is that you will find Naturists (nudists if you prefer) more open and able to discuss sexual concerns. This particularly applies to guyren feeling free to discuss issue with their parents as you said.
As for your points about soggy swimming costumes - I couldn't agree more!
For your numbered concerns:
1) You may be surprised just how quickly you will adjust - this surprises most people when they finally 'take the plunge'.
2) Many say that it enhances intimacy with their partners due to being more relaxed about their own bodies - body confidence we call it. I agree.
3) I will reinforce what others have said here. There are sites that use the title 'Naturist' to try and claim some respectability when they are really just porn site and yes I agree there are sites that peddle what are truly Naturist pictures, but having what we consider to be an over-emphasis on guyren, so we question their target market (we have refused to accept advertising from them for our magazine or website for this reason).
I will leave you with this quote I found a while ago:
"It's been shown that young boys raised in a puritanical environment have a greater interest in pornography. Girls raised in a puritanical environment tend to be more ashamed or fearful of their bodies. Guyren raised in a nudist family are comfortable with their bodies and the bodies of the opposite sex. They're more likely to understand that the portrayal of the nude body in the media is hyped and false." | Is nudism legal is it for the family is there clubs as a teen use to love been nude when no one was in? then one day my parents caught me gave me a stern talking to i was looking through old photos pf me and my diary and it brought back some old memories and then i wounder were my parents old fashioned as i am proud of my body is there a wed site for naked people and is it right or wrong | 1) Yes, nudism is legal in most countries.
2) Yes, it is for families. There are many nudist families where the parents and the guyren are all nude in their own home.
3) Teens are welcome at most nudist clubs, provided they are with their parents, and their parents are members of the club. Some nudist clubs have activities just for teens, but they require permission from the parents for the teens to attend.
4) Nudism is a lifestyle choice. There is nothing wrong with it. However, it goes against the prevailing attitudes of the main culture in many parts of the world. Your parents are just trying to pass their culture along to you. They are not old-fashioned, so much as unenlightened -- they don't know any better. Nudism has a long history, and in times gone by, most people were nude much more often than they are today, and it wasn't an issue to be nude or to be seen nude by others.
5) Here are a few websites to get you started:

6) It's right! | Teens, a quick survey? 1. How much money do you have?
2. Is being gay or homosexual a sin?
3. Is nudism wrong?
4. How many hours are you on yahoo answers per month?
5. How much money would you give away if you were a multimillionaire?
6. What's your favorite season? and why?
7. What is your favorite song? (current and all-time) | 1. How much money do you have? 22 dollars.
2. Is being gay or homosexual a sin? I'm not religious. I support LGBT rights.
3. Is nudism wrong? No. I don't think many people would be willing to accept it as part of an everyday lifestyle. At least there are places where nudists can go be themselves.
4. How many hours are you on yahoo answers per month? Uh, 15-20 or so? I have noo idea.
5. How much money would you give away if you were a multimillionaire? Half.
6. What's your favorite season? and why? I don't really have one. I hate the cold... so Summer?
7. What is your favorite song? (current and all-time) Always changing. =/ | How do nudists perceive sexual attraction? It's no secret that a lot of guys (and girls ) get sexually attracted to a person they see as "hot" and wonder what he/she would look like naked, in bed, etc, and most of the time get turned on.
But what about nudists?
I've heard nudists defend their position by saying that there's no malice/perversion in nudity or being a nudist. That it's all clean fun, no sexual thoughts involved.
Not that I have anything against them, it's just that I'm just curious to what extent nudist hold to that belief. And I'm especially wondering about the teen nudists, like the ones in Vermont. Because we all know that as teens our hormones skyrocket.
Is nudism all clean and innocent fun among nudists? Or are there a considerable amount of, how do we say, "wolves in sheep's clothing" among them? | I am a nudist. (I 'm naked right now as a matter of fact.) I am an athletic woman in my 20's. I work hard to look good, just like just about everyone else my age and when I'm out jogging or at the gym I notice the guys looking at me, so I guess it is working. :) I check out cute guys, too, and like everyone else I wonder what they might look like naked. And when my girlfriends and I get together we share stories about our boyfriends and what they really do look like naked.
What I am getting at is that nudists are no different that everyone else. The thing that we realize is that simple nudity does not equal sexual attraction. Like someone else said, when you think about what someone looks like naked that means you already have the attraction--generally the attraction doesn't come from the nudity. And for the record: quite often the actual nude, once seen for the first time, doesn't quite meet the expectations from your fantasies. :)
It is also untrue that nudists don't find sexual attraction in nudity. We are human too...I've seen guys I've talked on nude beaches to get hard when they look at me. This is an incredibly embarrassing situation for them, but as long as they handle themselves with dignity it doesn't bother me--I know it is just human nature (and sometimes its kind of a turn on). I just try to do what I can to ease their embarrassment and usually after a few minutes we can laugh about it. That or the guy takes off as fast as he can!
As for teens-most people do not get into nudism in their teens. There is too much going on with the body and with societal pressures that teenagers don't open up to nudism. Most teen nudists have been brought up in nudist families and have been exposed to nudity their entire life to the point where it doesn't phase them, hormones or not.
Long story short, nudists are people too. We too want to get a peak at the cute guy or girl and we too comment on what we see. We can also be as judgmental as our textile peers and like our peers we usually feel bad about that. We go to strip clubs and look at porn. In general, though, just the presence of nudity does not turn us on. Nudity is a very small piece of the attraction puzzle. This is something you figure out on your first trip to a nude beach. |
